This
information is provided to all students, faculty, and staff of The University of
West Alabama in compliance with the Campus Security Act of 1990 and the Jeanne
Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
The information is provided for the
purpose of assisting campus community members in reducing their risk of becoming
a victim of crime while at UWA. Any questions
regarding these statistics should be directed to the Director of Student Life
and Housing at (205) 652-3768.
Crime
statistics are reported by school year, for the previous three years. A
school year is defined as August 1st of one calendar year through July 31st of
the following calendar year. The table headings list the year in which the
school year began. For example, "2006" refers to crimes that
occurred during the 2006-2007 school year.
