Tiger Paw Student Handbook

CAREER SERVICES OFFICE

The Career Services Office, located in Foust Hall #7, provides assistance to students who are in the process of making career decisions, as well as to qualified graduates in finding the best possible employment and to employment recruiters seeking candidates for positions.  All students are encouraged to seek assistance with choosing a major, planning for a career and developing job search skills.  Students interested in obtaining information about internships or co-operative education opportunities should also contact the Career Services Office.  Students may register on-line at www.collegecentral.com/uwa to search for jobs and post résumés.  Senior Education students are encouraged to begin placement files prior to graduating.

The office sponsors an Annual Career Fair for all students and Education Interview Day for graduating students in teaching majors.  The office contacts employment recruiters to schedule information sessions and interviews on campus and refers résumés upon requests made by recruiters.  The office maintains event announcements and other information on its web page at careerservices.uwa.edu.
