CHECK CASHING & BANKING SERVICES
Students wishing to cash checks at the Business Office for
personal convenience may do so by making the check payable to "Cash."
Personal checks will be cashed for amounts up to $50.00 for students, if their
student account with UWA is current. If a student has two returned checks per
academic year, his/her check cashing privileges may be discontinued.
You may
want to open a checking account at one of our local banks: Regions Bank, located
on West Main Street, West Alabama Bank & Trust, located adjacent to the
Court House Square or The Bank of York, located on Washington Street.
Regions Bank has an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Student Union
Building. The Student Union Building hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-10:00
p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 1:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
